Happy Holidays in Tubac, Arizona!
Tubac, Arizona is a great place to be during the holiday season! Here are some events to spread the holiday cheer while you’re in the area!
Poetry Night, November 10 and December 8, 6:45pm, Tubac Golf Resort
At the salon patio under the Poet Tree, come meet fellow poets at the monthly Poetry Night! Everyone can share a poem, excerpt or song, self-written or from a favorite author. You can also hang your poem from the “Poet Tree” and have it read by someone else if you would prefer your work to be anonymous. An evening of wine, great poetry, live acoustic music is completely free! Jazz Dinner/Dance, November 25, 7-11pm, Tubac Golf Resort
Enjoy dinner, dancing and a jazz performance from Heather O’Day. The event is $45+ per person.
Heather O’Day is a singer-actress- teacher that has performed all over the United States from Los Angeles to New York, and even to Alamos, Mexico. This Arizona-based artist won the Metropolitan Opera Competition in Arizona and was selected by Alice Cooper to perform at his Christmas event. Her pure voice is inspired by jazz greats such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fizgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Carmen Rae.

Luminaria Nights, December 2&3, 9pm (Sunset), Village of Tubac
The holidays are fast approaching! Get into the spirit in Tubac at Luminaria Nights. The streets will be lined with brown paper bag luminaries and stores will open until 9pm to sell homemade food and great gifts. Holiday music will play, many shops will have warm fires and Santa Claus will be present to take gift wishes.
In the past, this celebration included a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30pm December 2 near the Tubac Village entrance sign. Gabriel of Urantia’s Bright & Morning Star Choir sang traditional Christmas Carols as the tree came alive with light. Visitors are advised to bring a flashlight and wear comfortable walking shoes.
