Fun Fall Events in Tubac
The Santa Cruz County of Arizona has no shortage of fun events this fall. So if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy some beer, art, music and dancing. These are events are a great way to enjoy the heat (or perhaps take a break from it!). If you’re looking for some good food, a way to experience history or insight into the arts, be sure to check out the events below in Tubac this fall!
Oktoberfest, October 1, 12pm-6pm, Tubac Village
How could you go wrong with Oktoberfest? German beer, food, and live music will be available in Tubac village for purchase and enjoyment. Come drink and be merry this Saturday afternoon in October!
Anza Days, October 22, 10am-4pm, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park
Anza Day is a living history presentation on Juan Bautista de Anza. Don Garate of Tumacacori National Historical Park will portray Anza with his troops as they attend mass at the Tumacacori mission. Afterwards, they will ride up the Anza Trail to arrive in Tubac. Anza will give a presentation to the crowd waiting in Tubac about his journey to establish the Presidio at San Francisco in October 1775. What promises to be most interesting about this event are the period costumes from Indian, Mexican and Spanish Colonial Periods. Along with mariachi music and children’s activities, this will be both an educational and entertaining experience for the whole family!
Fall Artwalk, November 5 and 6, 10am-5pm, Tubac Village
Tubac will be holding its Fall Artwalk in November. Formerly “An Art Experience”, this event brings visitors right into the artists’ loft as artists work out in the open on the streets. This weekend celebrates the inspiration behind the artistic process. Local musicians will also perform to make this a memorable event for all those that enjoy the arts!
